How long does the seminar paper have to be?
The examination regulations stipulate that each person must submit 4,000 words (+- 10%). In the case of group work, the number of words depends on the number of group members.

What topic can I cover?
In principle, the choice of topic is free. The topic just has to fit the curriculum of the respective module.
Do I have to agree on the topic of the seminar paper?
No, the topic should not be voted on. The choice of topic is already part of academic work.

Do I have to agree on the structure of the seminar paper?
No, the structure does not need to be agreed. It should correspond to my specifications for a well-structured seminar paper .
What may not be included in the title of the work?
The title of the seminar paper must not contain the name of a company. In addition, the title must not be formulated as a question.
Content design of the seminar paper
How extensive do individual chapters of the seminar paper have to be?
The length of individual chapters is determined by the specifications for the overall length of the work. In principle, chapters on each level should be of a similar length. The space available for the entire seminar paper must therefore be well balanced. Only the practical chapter can be longer, as this is the heart of the work and is therefore the focus.
Deadlines for the seminar paper
Can I write the seminar paper in the next semester?
The exam and the seminar paper are two independent examinations, so they do not have to be completed in one semester.
The online campus shows whether I am also teaching the module in the following semester. If I am also teaching it in the next semester, the seminar paper can still be written with me.
I do not offer an explicit re-writing date. The seminar paper must then be written with a colleague.
Sources in the seminar paper
Am I allowed to cite sources that are not publicly available?
In principle, almost anything can be cited. However, you should always ask yourself whether the information can be found publicly somewhere else. If this is not the case, you can also cite contracts that you have signed yourself, etc. These do not have to be uploaded together with the seminar paper. However, if there are any discrepancies, they must be made accessible.
Does the retrieval date of Internet sources in the seminar paper have to be current?
No, the retrieval date does not have to be current. Internet sources that have already been used can also be used again.
Uploading the seminar paper
How should the seminar paper be uploaded?
The seminar paper must be uploaded as a PDF.
How should I deal with Internet sources that I used in my seminar paper?
All web pages must be printed out as PDFs. They can then be uploaded in a ZIP folder together with the seminar paper.
Can I also submit files via email?
No, only documents uploaded to the online campus will be taken into account for correction. If you encounter any problems during the upload, the student advisory service will be happy to help.
