Dear students,
I have provided additional learning material for our “Stock Market Simulation” module here. This material is designed to help you better understand the content and successfully master the exam performance in our module.
This module contains not only specialist knowledge, but also a lot of passion. Together with my esteemed colleagues Eric Frère, Ilja Schaab and Jan Heyder, we have worked on it for years to offer you an innovative learning experience. Learning comes alive with us! With gamification, we transform theory into practical exercises. Have you become curious? Then take a look behind the scenes in my following LinkedIn post. I would also be happy if we could connect there! Because all participants are graduates of the FOM, so the module is a very special project.

Tips for Providing the Exam Performance
In our module, the creation of videos is planned as an exam performance. It is not expected that these are highly professional. Zoom is ideal for implementation. Depending on whether you want to appear individually or as a group, you should familiarize yourself with the attention function. I strongly recommend reading my article “Online Presentation in the Colloquium: The Right Setup for an Impressive Appearance” to optimally prepare your Zoom setup.
In the following, you will find further information on individual topics of our event. These are intended to help you look at the topics again with different eyes and improve your understanding of the individual topics:

Financial Education – Decipher the Financial World: Investing vs. Saving
Financial education is a key topic in our modern economy and the terms investing and saving are often confused. However, they represent two fundamentally different approaches to dealing with money. While saving focuses on preserving capital, investing aims to increase it. Understanding these differences is essential to making informed financial decisions. In my EU-funded project FLIP (for general information click here) there is a more in-depth lesson on investing (click here). I encourage you to explore this valuable content and apply your knowledge to the Stock Market Simulation module.
