Prof. Dr. Alexander Zureck, MBA, is a Full Professor of Business Administration, specializing in Banking & Finance at FOM University of Applied Sciences, Germany. As keynote speaker and executive coach, he regularly advises leaders, corporations, and organizations on strategy, finance, real estate, education, and digitalization. In November 2025, he was also appointed President of the bdvb e.V. (Federal Association of German Economists).
Born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Dr. Zureck began his academic journey at FOM University in Essen, graduating with a Bachelor’s and an MBA degree, before earning his PhD in Finance & Accounting at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. He also brings extensive corporate insight to his academic roles from his previous experience as a consultant and project manager.
Today, he serves as a Scientific Coordinator at FOM’s isf Institute of Strategic Finance, where he supports the Dean in developing academic programs and coordinates modules in Digital Finance, Financial Technology, and Financial Literacy. Additionally, he is a Professor of Practice in Finance at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, supervising doctoral students on cutting-edge topics such as blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Bridging academia and industry, he is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at WEPEX GmbH, contributing to the development of modern AI and blockchain solutions for the financial sector.
