Financial Literacy
I head the Financial Literacy research group at the isf Institute for Strategic Finance at the FOM University of Applied Sciences. Financial literacy is often defined as a measure of a person’s understanding, knowledge and application of financial information. Our research focuses on the financial literacy of young professionals and socially disadvantaged groups. In addition, the influence of financial literacy on investment and financing decisions, such as participation in the stock market, is examined.
